In short

What is Tribearn for alumni associations?

Tribearn is alumni association software. It collects annual and life memberships online, sells tickets to reunions and chapter events, and keeps one member list that stays with the association when office-bearers hand over. Members pay by UPI or card, and the money settles to the association’s bank account. The Free plan is ₹0 a month and takes 10% of each sale; Starter (₹499 a month), Growth (₹1,499) and Scale (₹3,999) lower that to 5%, 3% and nothing.

What you can sell

Membership and reunions for an association run in spare time

An alumni association has two chronic problems and neither is money. The first is that everything — the list, the history, the bank access — belongs to whoever held the role last. The second is that the reunion gets organised in a group chat.

Annual & life memberships

Both models, on the same page.

  • Annual dues that renew
  • One-off life membership
  • Batch and chapter tiers
  • Member rates on events

Reunion ticketing

A headcount you can give the caterer.

  • Paid ticket sales
  • Capacity and guest limits
  • Members-only or open
  • One registration list

Members-only content

A public face and a private noticeboard, on one page.

  • Public open events
  • Members-only AGMs
  • Tier-restricted items
  • Invite-only committee business

Chapter events & meetups

City chapters running their own calendar.

  • Regional meetups
  • Talks and panels
  • Mentoring sessions
  • Paid or free entry

Directories & resources

The things members actually joined for.

  • Newsletters and yearbooks
  • Career resources
  • Recorded talks
  • Members-only downloads

One link for the whole association

Membership tiers, the next reunion, chapter meetups and members-only resources — on one page that carries on working when the committee changes.

In detail

How memberships and members-only access work

Memberships

Annual dues and life membership on the same page

Alumni bodies almost always run both: a modest annual subscription for most people and a one-off life membership for those who would rather never think about it again. Both are just plans at your prices, and members of either get their own pricing everywhere else.

Annual dues renew
Yearly plans charge on schedule, so the subscription base does not decay through inattention.
Life membership as one payment
A single purchase at your price, with its own perks and its own pricing on events.
Batches and chapters as tiers
Tiers can reflect how your association is actually organised, each with its own price list.
One member record
Who is paid up, who lapsed and who joined, held in the account rather than a personal spreadsheet.

Access

Public enough to recruit, private enough to matter

An association page has to do two contradictory things: be findable by an alumnus who lost touch a decade ago, and be a private space for people who have paid. Per-item visibility is what lets both live in one place.

Public
Open lectures, fundraising events and anything that should be found by someone not yet a member.
Members only
The AGM, the directory, the newsletter archive — visible to people who are actually paid up.
Specific tiers
Restrict something to life members, so the tier is a genuine privilege rather than a badge.
Invite only
Committee business reachable by link and nothing else.

Pricing

Alumni association software FAQs

Can we offer both annual and life membership?

Yes. Run an annual plan that renews and a one-off life membership side by side, each at your price and each with its own rates on events and resources.

Can we keep the AGM visible only to paid-up members?

Yes. Everything you publish carries its own visibility — public, members-only, restricted to a specific tier, or invite-only — so the open lecture and the AGM can sit on the same page.

What happens when the committee changes?

The member list, the dues and the event history live in the account, not on the outgoing secretary’s laptop. A handover becomes an access change rather than a reconstruction.

Can city chapters run their own events?

Yes — each event is its own item with its own price, capacity and visibility, so a Bengaluru meetup and a Delhi dinner can run in parallel without colliding.

What does it cost to start?

Nothing. The Free plan is ₹0 a month for as long as you want it — not a trial, and nothing switched off after thirty days. It takes 10% of what you collect through the page. Paid plans start at ₹499 a month and cut that to 5%, 3%, or nothing at all.

Can members pay dues by UPI?

Yes. Members pay at checkout by UPI, card or netbanking, and the money settles into the club’s bank account. There is no separate payment tool to sign up for.

Do you send a reminder before dues are charged?

Renewal itself is automatic, so in the normal case nothing needs chasing. There is no separate "your dues are due next week" warning before the charge today — if your members expect one, tell us before you switch.
