Migrate from Patreon

Move your patrons across with their tiers and dates intact

Patreon gives you the richest export of any platform we import from, so almost everything survives the move. The one thing that cannot is the billing — and this page is mostly about handling that well.

In short

Can I move my patrons from Patreon to Tribearn?

Yes. Tribearn imports Patreon’s members CSV with tiers and dates intact, after a dry run that shows every row before anything is written. Payments cannot transfer, because no platform can move a payment mandate, so each patron re-authorises once. The Free plan is ₹0 a month and takes 10% of each sale; Starter (₹499 a month), Growth (₹1,499) and Scale (₹3,999) lower that to 5%, 3% and nothing.

What you can sell

What a Patreon export actually gives you

Patreon’s members CSV carries a patron id, email, name, tier, pledge start and next charge date. That is unusually complete — it means your patrons can arrive on the right tier with the right dates, and keep access until the day they had already paid through.

Patreon columns recognised

Patron Id, Email, Name, Tier, Pledge Start, Next Charge Date.

  • Mapped automatically on upload
  • Correct any mapping yourself
  • Tiers matched to your tiers
  • Day-first dates handled properly

Next charge date is the gift

Because it exists, you can honour what people paid for.

  • Access until their paid-through date
  • Nobody cut off early
  • Nothing given away
  • They re-subscribe when time runs out

Dry run before anything moves

Validated on the server, written only when you say so.

  • Every row checked first
  • Created / skipped / needs-a-look
  • Re-running is a safe no-op
  • Walk away with nothing changed

Then bill them in rupees

The usual reason an Indian creator leaves in the first place.

  • UPI AutoPay for recurring
  • Cards and eMandate/NACH too
  • Settled to your bank account
  • GST invoicing from Starter upwards

And sell more than pledges

The things a pledge page has no shape for.

  • Digital products and presets
  • Courses and live cohorts
  • Ticketed events and AMAs
  • Paid DMs with a reply deadline

Your patrons become your members

On your page, in your colours, on a link you own — with their tier, their dates and their access exactly as they were, and an email list that is yours from then on.

In detail

How the Patreon import works, and what it cannot do

The real decision

How to ask a patron to pay you again

Their pledge is a mandate held by Patreon’s processor. It cannot be handed over, so every patron has to authorise a new one here. That is the whole migration risk, and the four options below are how you manage it — with the downside of each written next to it.

Honour what they already paid for
Access stays active until the paid-through date from your old platform, then expires normally. Nothing is given away and nobody is cut off — recommended where your export has dates.
Give everyone a fixed window
Access runs a set number of days from today. Use it when your export has no renewal date, accepting that some members lose time they already paid for.
Ask everyone to subscribe now
Members arrive without access until they subscribe here. Cleanest billing, worst retention — only sensible once your old platform has stopped charging.
Give them free access forever
Access never expires and is never charged for. An honest gift, and a permanent loss of revenue from those members.

The dry run

Three hundred patrons, and no way back — except there is

The fear with any migration is committing the file with the dates parsed wrong. The dry run is the answer: the same code that will do the work, run against your file server-side without writing a row, reported back to you before you decide.

Validated, not previewed
The server checks the real rows, so what you see is what would actually happen.
Dates disambiguated
Choose day-first, month-first, year-first or automatic — 05/06/2026 stops being a coin toss.
Tier mapping checked
See which Patreon tier lands on which of your tiers before anyone is moved.
Safe to re-run
Rows already imported are skipped rather than duplicated.

Patreon migration FAQs

What do I export from Patreon?

The members CSV. It carries patron id, email, name, tier, pledge start and next charge date, and those column names are recognised automatically when you upload it.

Will my patrons keep the tier they were on?

Yes, as long as your export includes the tier column — you map each Patreon tier onto one of yours during the import, and the dry run shows you that mapping before anything is written.

Can I let them keep the time they already paid for?

Yes, and it is the option we recommend when your export has dates. Patreon’s next charge date is what makes it possible: access stays active until that date and then expires normally, so nobody is cut off early and nothing is given away.

Will my members’ payments carry over?

No — and nobody can do this, so be wary of anyone who says otherwise. A mandate (UPI AutoPay, a card, or eMandate/NACH) is a contract between your member’s bank and the platform that took it; there is no export format and no legal way to move it. Their access, tier and dates all come across intact, but the next charge has to be re-authorised by them. You choose how that is handled.

Can I see what will happen before it happens?

Yes, and you should. The dry run validates every row on the server and shows you exactly what would be created, what would be skipped and what looks wrong — without writing anything. Nothing is committed until you say so.

What does it cost to move?

Nothing to arrive. The Free plan is ₹0 a month for as long as you want it and takes 10% of what you sell. Paid plans start at ₹499 a month and cut that to 5%, 3%, or nothing at all.

What if I run the import twice by mistake?

A re-run is a no-op for rows that already came across — it does not duplicate members or stack their access. That behaviour was checked against the real database rather than assumed.
