For Paid Telegram Channels

Sell access to your Telegram channel and know who paid

The channel stays on Telegram. This is the paywall in front of it, the UPI checkout, and the member list that tells you who has actually paid.

In short

How do I charge for a Telegram channel with Tribearn?

Tribearn sells access to your Telegram channel or group: members pay by UPI or card and see your invite link the moment payment clears. For access that renews, sell the channel as a membership tier — it charges by UPI AutoPay, emails the invite, and ends their access when they stop paying. Removing someone from Telegram itself is a step you take yourself. The Free plan is ₹0 a month and takes 10% of each sale; Starter (₹499 a month), Growth (₹1,499) and Scale (₹3,999) lower that to 5%, 3% and nothing.

What you can sell

Renewing access for a channel, not one-off payments

Telegram channels tend to monetize badly for a boring reason: people pay once, access is forever, and there is no way to tell in month seven who is still supposed to be there. A membership tier that renews, and a member list, fix both.

Recurring, not one-off

Sell the channel as a membership tier and it keeps renewing.

  • Monthly and yearly pricing
  • Paid by UPI, card or netbanking
  • Renews by UPI AutoPay as a membership
  • Settled to your bank account

Invite sent on payment

Works for a channel or a group, whichever you run.

  • Welcome note you write once
  • Your invite link inside it
  • Channel or group, either way
  • No adding people by hand

Who has actually joined

The thing a subscriber count cannot tell you.

  • Search and filter members
  • How each member joined
  • A seat cap for free channels
  • No spreadsheet to maintain

Tiers and bundles

More than one level of access.

  • Several membership tiers
  • Bundle into a membership
  • Buyers added automatically
  • Access ends when they stop paying

Beyond the channel

The things a broadcast cannot sell.

  • Members-only events and calls
  • Courses and cohorts
  • Digital products and reports
  • Paid one-to-one time

One link in the channel description

Your tiers, what subscribers get and a checkout that takes UPI — so someone who found the channel can join without messaging you first.

In detail

How renewing access and invites work

Renewing access

The problem with charging once for access forever

Most paid Telegram channels take a single payment and hand over a link. A year later the channel is full of people who paid once in 2023, the owner has no idea who is who, and the only way to reset it is to start a new channel and lose everyone.

Access tied to a membership
Sell the channel as a membership tier: it renews by UPI AutoPay, so paying is an ongoing relationship rather than a one-off.
Access ends when they stop
When a membership lapses, its perks — the channel included — end with it, instead of you guessing from a subscriber count.
Several tiers
A basic channel tier and a premium one with calls or reports can run side by side.
Cap a free channel
Set a seat limit on a free channel where the value depends on it staying small. Paid joins are not capped yet.

Joining

Channel or group, the same delivery

Telegram’s two shapes behave differently — a channel broadcasts, a group talks — but from the payment side they are the same thing: an invite link that needs to reach the right person at the right moment.

Whatever link you use
Your existing invite link is what gets delivered. Nothing about the channel or group changes.
Delivered on payment
The welcome note goes out the instant the payment clears, so nobody is waiting on you to notice.
They join themselves
No collecting usernames first and adding people one at a time.
Not automatic on Telegram’s side
Nobody is added or removed for you. The invite is delivered; joining and removal are yours.

Paid Telegram channel FAQs

Does it work for a channel or a group?

Both. From the payment side they are the same — your existing invite link is what gets delivered when someone joins, whichever shape you run.

Can I charge monthly rather than once?

Yes — sell the channel as a membership tier. It renews by UPI AutoPay, so you stop accumulating members who paid once years ago and never left. A plain community payment covers a single month or year.

Can I see who has stopped paying?

With a membership tier, yes: when someone stops paying, their membership lapses and its perks end. A plain community payment does not lapse on its own yet. Removing someone from the channel itself is manual either way.

Is there a free plan?

Yes. The Free plan is ₹0 a month for as long as you want it — not a trial. It takes 10% of what you actually collect, so a free community costs you nothing at all. Paid plans start at ₹499 a month and cut that to 5%, 3%, or nothing.

Are people added to the group automatically when they pay?

No — and be careful with anyone who tells you otherwise. What happens is that the moment a payment goes through, the member sees your welcome note with your invite link in it, so they let themselves in without you being involved. Automatic adding and removing is designed but not built; ask us where it has got to rather than assuming it.

What happens when someone stops paying?

A community payment covers the month or year they paid for, and nothing is removed automatically — not from your member list and not from the group. If you want access to follow payment, sell the group as a membership tier instead: it renews by UPI AutoPay, and their community membership ends if the plan is revoked. Removing someone from the group itself is a manual step either way.

Can members pay by UPI?

Yes. Members pay at checkout by UPI, card or netbanking, and the money settles into your bank account. There is no separate payment tool to sign up for.
